Join us in the Portcullis field which is a living memory to RAF Kenley during the Battle of Britain and enjoy the sights and sounds of the wartime period. See vintage vehicles, local artists, novelists, enjoy live music from the period and even book yourself a future flight in a Spitfire! All of which are next to the historic Portcullis Club, the last surviving building on the airfield which dates back to World War I and is full of fascinating wartime memorabilia.

You can sit in this historic fighter and have your photo taken for a small donation to the project.
Kenley & Caterham RAF Association (RAFA)
The RAF Association is committed to supporting the RAF Family, whether currently serving, or former-serving, in a wide range of ways, delivering help and support where it is needed. Anyone can join and support RAFA in their work and you’ll also become a member of the local branch based in the Portcullis Club.
Richard Smith
A renowned aviation author, Richard will be selling his brand new book about Kenley ‘Kenley Scramble’ as well as his other titles and DVD’s.
Barry Weekley
Well known aviation artist Barry Weekley will have a wide selection of his vivid and atmospheric paintings and prints for sale.
Live music from The Jazzettes
The Jazzettes will be performing everything from 1940’s swing to cool jazz to modern classics throughout the afternoon.
Heritage Vehicles – Invicta Military Vehicle Preservation Society
Your chance to get up close to many historic military vehicles and talk to their owners.
Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar
The Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar is a restoration facility dedicated to putting Spitfires back in the air. To date it has restored six Spitfires to flying condition, with several more projects waiting their turn including one that was excavated from Kenley. As well as up to 13 Spitfires on site they have a 1940 Hawker Hurricane and Battle of Britain veteran Messerschmitt 109 on view. Hangar tours and Spitfire flights can be booked here.
Model aircraft static display
The model aircraft display will now be a static display in the Portcullis field. You’ll get the chance to get up close to the model aircraft and meet those who get to fly them. Come along and meet the Caterham & District Model Flying Club to find out more!
Portcullis Club
The oldest surviving building on the airfield and now home to the local RAFA branch. Full of fascinating memorabilia and paintings, their fully stocked bar will be open all afternoon and tea / coffee / cakes will also be on sale.

There will be plenty of refreshments to keep you going such as:
