On 16th August 1941, the Kenley Wing had a very busy day, flying three separate offensive operations. It wasn't without cost though, as No.602 squadron lost Sgt. Cyril Anderson Booty on his second sortie of the day.
Sergeant Edward Brayley was the son of Alfred (a motor engineer) and Sarah Brayley, of Shrewsbury, Shropshire. He had an older brother, Clifford and a younger sister Margaret.
Eric met his end in a flying accident, on 16th May, 1941, while serving with No.258 Squadron at Kenley. His Hurricane Mk.II, Z2589, dived into the ground near Lingfield, Surrey.

Hailing from London, Donald George Alexander Stewart was born in 1913, the eldest son of William George Stewart, a Scotsman, and Mary Sarah Stewart (nee Edwards) who was born in Dover.
ALFRED ROBERTS TIDMAN was born in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, in 1918, the son of Arthur Roberts Tidman and Christian Laing Tidman.
