Gerald Peabody MacKay was born 24th October, 1918, in Sweetsburg, Quebec, the only child of Donald Russell MacKay, a dentist, and Alice Maud Peabody.
On the 23rd November, he was taking part in cloud formation flying practice with Sgt. L. J. Burke when they entered low cloud and flew into the side of Titsey Hill near Woldingham.
Flight Lieutenant Lyn Bertram Madden had only joined 403 squadron on the 4th May, and was on his first sortie flying Spitfire Mk.IX, (BS246), when he was shot down on 15th May 1943.
Flying Officer Douglas Russell Manley was born 27th September 1922, in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada. He was working as a gas station attendant in his hometown when he enlisted in the RCAF.
Stanley Wilbur Matthews was born on 29th November 1918 in Winnipeg, Canada. He was the son of William Herbert Matthews, a supervisor at T. Eaton’s department store, and Ethel Rose Johnson.
Hugh Edward McGraw was born 5th January, 1920, at Kirkland Lake, Ontario, Canada.
"Mac" was 21 years old, the son of Robert Taylor McKim, a clergyman, and Mary Annetta Renfrew Gilchrist, of Westfield, New Brunswick.
JAMES EMMETT MCNAMARA of Northcliffe Avenue, Montreal, was the son of Michael John McNamara, a railway employee, and Lucy Mary McNamara (nee. Francoeur).
Frank Cooper McWiliams was born on the 23rd April 1922 in Nokomis, Saskatchewan. He was the son of William McWilliams, an Irishman, and Mary, his wife, who was English.
