In memory of
Corporal William Frederick Jemmett
William was the son of Frank Alexander Jemmett and Annie Elizabeth Jemmett. His home was in Bush Park, Enfield.
He was suffering from a nervous disorder when he dived out of an upper storey window, during a stay in hospital. William had been administered a sedative drug that may have made him prone to delusions. At the inquest into his death, a Psychiatrist suggested that he may have thought he was baling out of an aircraft. He was 35 years old and left behind a wife, Hilda Gwendoline Jemmett.
Rest in peace Sir and thank you for your service.
