On 5th July 1942, No.611 squadron, stationed at Kenley, lost Sergeant Pilot Alexander James Proctor Walton and Warrant Officer Victor Cecil Mayo Wheeler, when Miles Magister Mk.I (L8130), stalled during low level aerobatics and crashed at Woldingham.
Arthur Dumbell Smith was a long-standing member of No.66 Squadron. He hailed from Forest Gate, London, and was born on 3rd April 1918, the son of Charles H. Smith and Constance Isabel Dumbell.
Eric met his end in a flying accident, on 16th May, 1941, while serving with No.258 Squadron at Kenley. His Hurricane Mk.II, Z2589, dived into the ground near Lingfield, Surrey.

On 18th August, the "Hardest Day", Peter was shot down by a Messerschmitt Bf109 of Fighter Geschwader 3, near Kenley at 1.23pm. It was only his eighth sortie. Tragically, in apparently trying to avoid some houses, his Hurricane Mk.I (P2768) crashed onto Morden Park Golf Course and he was killed.

On 13th February 1930, Sergeant Cecil Alfred Arthur Fell of No.32 (Fighter) squadron, Kenley, was killed in a flying accident, having jumped from his Armstrong Whitworth Siskin (J9191?) when the controls became jammed.
SERGEANT PILOT CHARLES JAMES SQUIBB of 602 squadron RAFVR, was the son of John William J. and Sarah Squibb; husband of Iris Maude Squibb, of Bedfont, Middlesex.
Derek Vincent Osborne was born in Lancashire, on 9 December 1915, to Samuel and Mary Christina Osborne. In 1939 he was recorded as a Manufacturers’ Agent for woollen goods and a member of the RAF Volunteer Reserve.
Sergeant Edward Brayley was the son of Alfred (a motor engineer) and Sarah Brayley, of Shrewsbury, Shropshire. He had an older brother, Clifford and a younger sister Margaret.
Edward was from East Dulwich and learnt to fly at the London Transport Flying Club, joining the RAFVR in early 1939. He was shot down on 7th September 1940.
Edward James Hindley was the son of Harry and Dorothy M Hindley of Oldbury, Birmingham. His sacrifice is commemorated on Panel 85 of the Runnymede Memorial.

On 31st March, 1954, Sergeant Francis Jack Pink died in unknown circumstances while serving at RAF Kenley.

Harold Henry Allgood was born in Cambridge in July 1915 and educated at the Central School. On leaving school, in July 1931, he joined the RAF at Halton as an apprentice metal rigger that September.

John Edward "Teddy" Gallon was born in Newcastle-on-Tyne on 8th August, 1920, the eldest child of Edward Gallon, a painter and decorator, and Alice Gallon (nee Gaffney).
