Service and Release Book for 1173955, Leading Aircraftsman Walter James Tyrrell RAFVR.

“Bill” served with 615 (County of Surrey) Squadron as a Flight Mechanic Airframes. He saw overseas service in India from 17th March, 1942, until 19th December, 1945.

On 21st May, 1945, Bill’s  commanding officer assesses him thus:

Experienced in the maintenance of all types of aircraft. He has been  conscientious and reliable. His conduct and general character has been very good.
