This leaflet was issued by the Ministry of Health and the Department of Health for Scotland, in 1940. It gives simple first aid advice for bleeding wounds, shock, suffocation and burns.
It advises that the man or woman ‘on the spot’ should:
Be prepared to see severe wounds. Be courageous and keep your head. Keep your mind on your duty to your injured fellow man.
The original recipient of this leaflet was Mr. L. Ridley of Upper Selsdon Rd, Sanderstead. This document comes from the collection of Robin Grainger.

Good to find this online. My daughter purchased a second hand book recently and one of these flyers was folded inside, along with a copy of “If the Invader Comes” Both originals and in very good condition.
It’s interesting to see what the British people were being prepared for and to understand the ask of them from the various government ministries.
