Slingsby T21 Sedburgh TX Mk.I, WB932 was away being smartened up as a spare glider for Prince Andrew's first glider solo when the last hangar burnt down. It was returned to 615VGS and made the first launch of the recommenced operation on 17/2/1980.

This Control Caravan was lost in the hangar fire of 1978. Michael Tinkler remembers that the tannoy speaker on the roof was a re-purposed tannoy from the hangar.

Thank you Allan, and well done everyone. I was in the ATC in the mid 70s (196 sqd Bloxwich) and it brought back happy memories. 🙂
