On the 28th and 29th June, we were honoured to be invited to have a stand at the first Open Day at Brookwood Military Cemetery, where at least seven of RAF Kenley’s fighter pilots lie buried, as well as many other casualties from RAF Redhill and Croydon. We commemorated them with a self-guided trail around the cemetery, that told their stories as well as our usual display.

Thank you to all the members of the public who visited our stand and told us their stories about their connections to the airfield. We had wonderful help from our team of volunteers. The weather was beautiful and the cemetery was a credit to the dedicated work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
