Overview

The Kenley Revival Oral History Project aims to capture the stories of people who had a connection to Kenley airfield as civilians or service men or women during World War II.

We have interviewed Spitfire pilots and WAAFs as well as civilians; those who were children during the war, who watched the dog-fights from their bedroom windows.

We are keen to interview anyone who worked at Kenley airfield in any capacity, civilian or military. We are also interested in local history and the local people who lived and grew up in the area of Kenley, Whyteleafe, Caterham.

The interviews provide us with captivating information, which has helped us to tell the Kenley story in our education programme, events, on our website and in our exhibitions to the wider world.

We would be delighted to hear from anyone who would like to be interviewed. Interviewees can be recorded in the comfort of their own home. For more information contact kenleyrevival@cityoflondon.gov.uk
